The Roscommon Herald on Tuesday 19 January 2021 has a significant two-page FEATURE (pages 36 & 37) which portrays Joe as a successful businessman with deep roots in Kilmore, County Roscommon, and traces his influential role in the construction industry, politics, community affairs, and the Catholic Church, where he now holds a prestigious senior Papal Knighthood as a Grand Officer of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. The FREATURE contains a number of beautiful colour photographs, including with the then Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, and two separate photographs with Catholic Church leaders, Cardinal Edwin O’Brien and Cardinal Sean Brady
